Sue Jo Wright is a Sydney-based artist who explores identity through photography, video, and textiles. Embracing sign language at 10, her work transcends boundaries, offering a unique glimpse into the deaf world. Since 2019, Sue has been an advocate for community arts and has been helping other artists make their work more accessible to Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences. She is also the Creative Director of Handshapes, a platform that promotes inclusivity through various meet-ups, workshops, and events for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
